Good vs Evil Choose Good

I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey Your word. (Psalm 119:101)
Many people struggle to stay out of trouble. They seem to attract trouble like honey attracts bees. There are people who yearn to do evil and just cannot away from it. It fascinates, deceives and entangles them.
But people always have a choice. You can choose between good and evil. There are many benefits that flow from reading the Bible and one of the most important is insight - others are wisdom and joy. One of the greatest advantages is the knowledge of good and evil. A diligent study of the Bible, particularly of the commandments of God, the guidance of Jesus Christ and the instructions of the apostles, will provide you with knowledge and wisdom that will keep you on the right path and help you to avoid evil.
The Bible is not just a set of rules concerning behaviour. The message it brings is not about what you must do and what you must not do. It is about what God has already done, is still busy doing and what He will do in the future. It is concerned with recording the results of God's deeds. His actions demand an answer in your lifestyle, your attitude, your faith and your behaviour. The Bible sets down the things that God has done for us and those things that you can and should do for God.
These days there are many life coaches who want to teach you the skills of being popular and successful. The Bible teaches the knowledge of how to be good, and why. You have the choice to obey its instructions or ignore them. The choice is completely yours!
"The voice of Christ: Write My words in your heart and meditate on them earnestly, for in time of temptation they will be very necessary." - Thomas A Kempis
Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path (Psalm 119:105)
There are times when people feel that they are in the dark. The fog of confusion is so thick in our modern world that it is hard to see anything clearly. Evil is so intense that "darkness" is the only word that aptly describes the gloom that surrounds us. When this happens, remember that you are not alone; many people feel like this.
The feeling of being totally surrounded by darkness is not something new. Believers in earlier times constantly had the feeling that they were in the dark. Perhaps that is why the first words of God that are recorded in the Bible and His first creating act were, "Let there be light" (Gen. 1:3). "And," the Bible informs us, "there was light." In those days the electric flashlight with its penetrating light had not yet been invented. Lamps in biblical days were simple objects with a fragile wick that flickered in the breeze. The Light they gave was so weak that they were only able to light one step at a time. If a lamp were carried at night its flickering light was only able to light a small section of the path.
God Himself is the source of all true light. His Word is a light in the darkness. Even though it does not completely eradicate the darkness, t shines just far enough to help you find your way. On a journey through the darkness, this light is like a friend. The Lord Himself is the Friend who is with you on the path and He is never further away from you than one single step.
"We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light." - Plato
Do you think that the Bible is an answer to shed light to your daily living?
